SYSTEMS STARTING AT $249 ADDITIONAL FEATURES AND UPGRADES OPTIONAL.
Key New Features in our A3 Series:
The A3 Apex will include a new Magnetic Optical Sensor that is designed to better prevent water incursion and includes our classic Solid Surface Leak Detector (LD-2).
The most successful aquariums are those where the owner has the most understanding of what is going in their little world-in-a-glass-box. However, the real key to enjoying this hobby is to do that without making it a full time job!
Owning the Apex is the best way to get you back to focusing on the things you love like your fish and coral, and less about temperature issues, pH levels, light timers, dosing tanks, vacation plans, etc.
The most important aspect of having an Apex though is the disaster prevention it provides. The Apex will notify you when things go bad, giving you time to take action and prevent an aquarium catastrophe.
Of course you also unlock the door to more advanced things such as LED dimming, variable pump control, auto top-off, calcium reactor control, ozone control, auto dosing of elements, auto-feeding your fish, and much more!
*ORP probe sold separately
In addition to all the incredibly cool things an Apex does, first and foremost it protects your tank from all sorts of very common catastrophes like overheating due to faulty tank heaters or HVAC issues, leakages and overflows, out of range parameters, etc. And, once issues are detected, the Apex can take corrective action to reduce the likelihood of serious damage and then notifies you so you can take it from there.
Apex systems have already saved many aquarium owners thousands of dollars in livestock, equipment, flooring, etc. Leaving home for 2 hours or 2 weeks will no longer involve the anxiety of wondering what you will come home to. This reason alone is enough to justify purchasing an Apex.
Prevents catastrophes by monitoring key parameters in your aquarium, takes corrective actions for you, and alerts you via your smartphone when things go off track.
Monitors your equipment – ensuring it is operating correctly at all times – and lets you know when it’s not.
Tracks your manual test results, maintenance, livestock purchases, and tank observations and helps you correlate issues in your aquarium to the things that are happening inside.
Manages the full operation of equipment (lights, pumps, filters, ATO, etc.) on your tank with simple setup wizards and an easy to use app.
Takes the place of many costly and cumbersome discrete components such as light timers, heater controllers, pump controllers, etc.
Gives you the peace of mind to know how your aquarium is doing, instantly, from anywhere in the world.
A3 Apex Base Unit
The A3 Apex is a great entry into gaining full control over your tank, giving you everything you need to get up and running at an affordable price. Monitor temperature, pH, surface leaks, and water level with the ability to control additional aquarium equipment with the included EB832. The A3 Series Apex base unit includes a built-in audible alarm and three FMM ports for connecting all fluid monitoring sensors, an upgrade from the A2 Series which required a separate module purchase.
Energy Bar 832
The most comprehensive aquarium controlling and monitoring system to date is finally here. The Energy Bar 832 now has eight individual, 7 amp relayed outlets letting you use any outlet for any device. Each individual outlet can also monitor and detect power usage in amps or watts, letting you set alarms and send emails when pumps have clogged or failed, lights are not turning on, heaters leaking current, letting you be notified of the issue before it becomes a problem. With electricity costing more and more money per Kilowatt hour having the ability to monitor each pump, heater, and light lets you now make better decisions on the overall value of your equipment.
Each Energy Bar 832 also has two 24VDC accessory ports that can power small pumps, solenoids, fans and more, while the built-in 100W DC power supply lets you control up to 3 1Link accessories like the WAV circulation pumps, and DOS fluid metering system without the need for any additional power supplies or consuming additional outlets. The EB832 also has 3 AquaHub connections letting you expand to any existing or upcoming module making your Apex System truly limitless.
Neptune didn’t stop there, with an all new mounting system on the Energy Bar orients the power strip in the correct direction keeping cords neat and tidy. While the outlets have a bit wider spacing, and orientated opposite of each other keeping room for those bulky transformers, allowing you to plug in almost anything you want, where you want.
*NEW* MOS Magnetic Optical Sensor
The Neptune MOS replaces the previous sensor and features an updated design that fits into tighter spaces and helps to prevent water incursion into the sensor. The MOS plugs into an Apex FMM port and, using reflected infrared light, will signal your Apex when it changes state from being wet to dry or dry to wet. This sensor can be used for constructing your own ATO (auto-top-off), as a high-level warning sensor in your sump, water storage level sensor, and much more. The sensors can be mounted on any type of reservoir that has up to 1/4″ thick walls.
LD-2 Surface Leak Detection Sensor
Neptune’s LD-2 is a full sized leak detection probe perfect for inside your stand, on hard floors, on top of skimmer cups, or any other flat surface where an overflow may cause issues. If water ever touches the sensor, your Apex Controller will be instantly notified so you can take corrective action and avoid disaster.
Lab Grade, Double Junction Probes
The Apex system includes high-quality probes for monitoring your tank’s temperature and pH. Calibration is a quick and simple process via the app dashboard, which will automatically recognize when your readings have stabilized and letting you know when to move to the next step– no more guesswork and reading RAW data. In addition, the double junction pH probe will allow your readings to stay more stable without the need to calibrate as often.
Backwards Compatible and Easily Expandable
If you have any old modules, head units, energy bars, or other Apex accessories they will work flawlessly with the new Apex Controller. Want to add Salinity monitoring? Just connect a PM2 module. Need Dissolved O2 monitoring? Simply add a PM3. The Neptune Systems Apex is expandable and compatible, making it the ultimate reef tank aquarium controller.
