The Peacemaker for Rimless Aquariums - Large
$100.00

The Peacemaker is a way to introduce new fish into your tank for a few days prior to release into the reef. Fish can see each other, they benefit from healthy water, and can eat without competition.  The box has 1/4" holes drilled on all three sides to maintain oxygenation. Add some big plumbing connections as great hiding spaces for new fish to duck into for shelter if spooked.

This version is for rimless aquariums. It hangs on the wall of the aquarium, you can place it where it works best. The front viewing pane is not drilled as it touches the glass, and gives you a perfect view of your newest addition.

This is not a replacement for a quarantine system.

Small Rimless Peacemaker: The livestock holding area is 6" x 4" x 6" tall and includes a polycarbonate clear lid. Holes are 1/4" in diameter.  It will fit up to 3/8" glass.

Large Rimless Peacemaker: The livestock holding area is 13" x 5.5" x 8" and includes a polycarbonate clear lid. Holes are 1/4" in diameter.  It will fit up to 7/8" glass.

New fish should be introduced to your reef with the Peacemaker for three days prior to being released. During that time, the fish can see each other, but not interact. Each day, feed your reef,  and the new fish in the Peacemaker. The lid has a small hole drilled in it to allow the insertion of a pipette filled with thawed food; the lid prevents fish from jumping out. If you are adding wrasses, a 1" layer of sand could be added safely if deemed necessary, or you could place a small bowl full of sand in the box at one end if you prefer.
